Introducing the BHUK Team
Rob Clayton
President
Rob was part of the original driving force of the organisation in 2009, when BHUK was formed. He represented the GB senior team at the World Championships in 2009 and 2011. In the latter tournament he captained the team.
During the existence of BHUK, he has led the organisation and expansion of the 'Road to the Nationals' series, for senior players, He has represented two clubs in this series from 2009 through to the current three tier system.
In recent years he has developed the now popular 'Veterans' competitions. One of his greatest achievements was Co-organiser of the 2016 ISBHF Junior World Championships, held in Sheffield.
Tom Merriman
Vice President
Tom has been involved in Ball Hockey in the UK since 2014. First as a player then he was heavily involved in the inception of the junior section of both the Sheffield Steelers and Rotherham Junior Ducks. Tom has also managed the GB Women’s team in for the 2019 ISBHF World Championships in Kosice and is the current Team Manager of the GB U18’s team.
In his role as Vice President, Tom is heavily involved in both the Women and Junior sections of the association. First expanding the national championships and also introducing standalone draft tournaments which has helped develop both of these areas.
Rob Pacey
Head of Refereeing
Rob is well known across the Ball Hockey circuit as both an experienced player and referee. Rob has already started work on the role and we’re having positive discussions on a daily basis in regards to how we move things forward in a positive manner. It is quite clear that refereeing for all concerned has become a source of much frustration and as an association we are committed to making significant improvements in regards to this.
James Dixon
Media
“Leafy” has been part of ball hockey since 2007, becoming the first ever Team Captain to raise the BHUK National Championship (then still the UKDHA), with the Dekstars in 2010. He also represented Team GB in St John’s & Newfoundland in 2013. Since the Dekstars' inception, he has held numerous positions within the club from Captain to Head Coach and Chairman, along with leading the Northern Conference.
Social media duties with the Dekstars, along with live streaming of all Northern Conference games, led to the Media role with BHUK, beginning with live coverage of the Men’s & Women’s World Championships in Kosice, 2019.
Jenny Hehir
Delegate to ISBHF
Jenny has a Consumer Law degree and has worked in Trading Standards for the past 14 years.
Jenny started playing ice hockey 30 years ago and now spends most of her time on the ice coaching. Jenny got into Ball Hockey in 2013 to keep fit on a Sunday morning, 4 Women’s World Championships later she is passionate to promote the sport In GB.
Jenny currently is a member on the ISBHF as the First Lady Board Member.

Dave Paget
Compliance & Procedures
Dave has been a Data Manager for both Royal Mail and now in education for over 30 years.
In his spare time, Dave leads Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in the Peak District for his school and loves to travel in pursuit of his interest in all things hockey: ice, sledge and ball.
Dave enjoyed his ball hockey playing days but is now more likely to be seen trying to evade the players as he attempts to photograph them.

Mike Lee

#45 and General Manager for the Nottingham Vikings BHC, Mike has a Degree in Graphic Design and is a Senior Manager for a global pharmaceutical
company, responsible for continuous improvement across Europe, Israel & Australia.
He helped re-vamp the social media presence for the Vikings, including development of their website, and this led to an opportunity to assist BHUK with theirs, as well as potential to enhance video media for BHUK.
Mike has a passion for ball and ice hockey, and is a Nottingham Panthers season holder. He also represents Nottingham County at Snooker and plays the violin and guitar.
